Why Sea Otter Fur? Well, Its a unique fur that only coastal Alaskan Native with at least 1/4 blood quantum can use. The fur must be significantly altered. I decided to create Jewelry out of the fur because at that time I had not ever seen anybody use fur to create earrings and necklaces. Using a traditional material that my ancestors harvested for many years to create a unique modern earring for everyday wear.
